Things To Do

If you have some free time, Richmond has a number of museums, breweries, parks, and history worth checking out. Here are a few of our favorites.

breweries

With more breweries than you can count, Richmond has a brewery for every type of beer lover. Some of our favorites include:

  • Stone Brewery (East coast location of the San Diego Brewery)

  • The Veil (you may know it from it’s Bachelorette appearance)

  • Vasen Brewing Company

  • Ardent Craft Ales

  • Blue Bee Cidery

The Folk Festival & Other Outdoor activities

The Richmond Folk Festival will be taking place the weekend of our wedding. If folk music is your thing, the concerts are free and located at some of our favorite outdoor spots including Brown’s Island, Belle Isle and Tredegar Iron Works. If you prefer a quieter excursion, we recommend Maymont Park which offers a historic estate, wildlife exhibits, and beautiful gardens for strolling.
